- Condo rules. Florida’s condo safety laws, passed after the 2021 Surfside collapse, require structural milestone inspections and reserve studies for many older condo buildings. Check the association’s status and any pending special assessments before you buy a condo unit to flip.
- Permitting. Timelines vary a lot between counties and individual cities. Pad your renovation schedule so a permit delay does not push you past your loan term.
